As a Technical Writer, you are the central force behind the creation and communication of our technical expertise. You translate complex information about our products (NetSuite applications), NetSuite implementations and consulting projects, and product releases into understandable, appealing, and target group-oriented content for various channels. Your work bridges the gap between deep technical understanding and effective marketing communication. With your expertise, you support both customer support and marketing.
Your Responsibilities
Product/Customer Support
Documentation creation: Design, create, and maintain user manuals, instructions, FAQs, and guidelines for our NetSuite applications—with a focus on in-depth technical explanations.
Knowledge base content: Actively support and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base that provides our customers with quick and accurate answers to their technical questions.
Visual content: Editorial support in the creation of explanatory videos and screencasts that clearly demonstrate how our applications work and simplify complex technical steps.
Collaboration with product and support teams: Close coordination with product management and customer support teams to accurately capture technical information and ensure content relevance, especially for product releases and new features.
Standardization and Quality: Development and implementation of guidelines and standards for technical documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Marketing
Editorial planning: Proactive support for editorial planning for websites and blogs with regard to technical content
Content creation: Writing technically accurate and marketing-effective content, e.g. for:
Case studies: Detailed and compelling case studies on successful product implementations and NetSuite consulting projects that highlight customer benefits and technical solutions.
Product releases: Announcements and detailed descriptions of new product versions and features for the website and blog
Technical articles: Research and creation of blog posts on current technical topics, trends in the NetSuite environment, and relevant industry developments.
What you bring to the table
Must-Haves
Strong writing skills: Proven ability to formulate complex technical issues clearly, concisely, and in a way that is appropriate for the target audience
Technical interest: Motivation to quickly and thoroughly understand complex software applications and how they work
Experience in creating technical content
Experience in editorial planning
Strong communication skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams (marketing, product, support, development)
Independent working style: High degree of initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to manage technical content projects independently and meet deadlines.
Native-level written and spoken German (C2 or native language)
Very good written and spoken English (C1 level)
Nice-to-Haves
Video production skills: Initial experience in writing scripts and/or creating and editing screencasts and short explanatory videos
Experience using Google products such as Google Sites, Google Docs, Google Presentations, etc.
Experience in prompting generative AI (Gemini, ChatGPT)
