Safety io is part of MSA Safety Inc., based in Pittsburgh USA. MSA is the global leader in the development, manufacturing and supply of safety products that protect people and facility infrastructures. Safety io provides its customers with software services that help them protect their colleagues in some of the most formidable environments in the world.

Safety io’s HQ is based in the US with its parent company MSA – although the operations center is based in Berlin, Germany. MSA is a traditional SAP customer. The roll-out to a flexible young dynamic SaaS division such as Safety io would not have been possible with SAP – timewise and moneywise. Therefore, Safety io decided to go with NetSuite in March 2018.

Today, there are about 50 team members, spread across the continents. The company uses NetSuite for its lead tracking management, sales and subscription billing, projects and operations. Each financial quarter Alta Via assists to roll out new functions within NetSuite. An upcoming new feature is the ability to track customer’s consumption. This information will be used for processing actionable insights like reminders, billing, and internal tasks for ops.

Safety io has recently acquired a company in South Africa. Now the roll-out of NetSuite for this subsidiary is going to be the next step. Growing globally with NetSuite’s OneWorld is fairly easy. The roll-out is scheduled to last about 4 weeks.
